Have a good (National Stress Awareness) day!

Robertson Cooper have today launched their web based “Good Day at Work” free well-being network.

They are “ …. a company that exists to promote the benefits of employee well-being and to help businesses and public sector organisations to realise them.” We would add that they are business psychologists with a presence in both Manchester and London.

Ivan Robertson and Cary Cooper are the co founders coming originally from UMIST (which back in those days was the University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology we recall).

The network is a  “….. brand new well-being community, ‘Good Day at Work’ which will provide you with valuable resources to inspire your well-being activities. It’s no coincidence that the launch coincides with National Stress Awareness Day –stress levels have more than doubled over the last four years and we’re as committed as ever to supporting this area by providing the best resources for improving well-being and engagement.”

The well being network live launch party today consists of the following:

  1. 10am to 10.45am – Cary Cooper and Gordon Tinline  (Director) Live online Q & A session
  2. Midday – Video footage of John Timpson  (Chairman Timpson) from The Good Day at Work Annual Conference
  3. 2pm – Well-being in pictures, an artists take on Themes from The Good Day at Work Annual Conference.
  4. 4pm – Video Tutorial – Challenge your thought to improve resilience. Change the way you think by challenging negative thoughts that can impact your performance.

As there are timescales associated with their party and joining in requires registration and a subsequent login we thought we should get this, & possibly some of you, up and running as soon as possible!

More may follow!

A fair bit of Twitter activity is underway @GoodDayatWork  and they of course have  their very own hashtag #GoodDayatWork !

Comprehensive run over from Robertson Cooper’s MD Ben Moss in Personnel Today. Good Day at Work “…. builds on Robertson Cooper’s free tool, i-resilience, which has now been used by nearly 30,000 people to help them improve their resilience levels. The company aims to provide resources to at least 100,000 people via Good Day at Work over the next two years”. Our highlighting – nice name!

Here’s Ivan Robertson’s introductory video.
